    Fulbright Amazonia will bring together professionals, practitioners, and researchers from the United States, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela for group seminars and an individual Fulbright exchange to address key research and policy questions related to fostering a secure and sustainable Amazon region.

    For this inaugural cohort, Fulbright Amazonia will provide a platform for applied researchers from across the Amazon region to engage in collaborative thinking, analysis, problem-solving and multi-disciplinary research in three main thematic areas:

    • Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
    • Strengthening Human and Environmental Health and Security
    • Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development
